Refund policy

How failed orders, completed registry transactions, premium names, renewals, and statutory rights will be treated.

Last updated 6 August 2026Version REFUND-2026.08

Pre-launch notice

Paid domain registration is not yet available. This policy describes the current website and the operating rules Honk is preparing for launch. Commercial terms, legal-entity details, launch markets, and any jurisdiction-specific notices will be finalized before checkout opens.

Plain-language note

These pages are operational drafts, not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

01

Current service status

Honk does not currently accept payment for domain services, so there are no live registration charges to refund. This page records the operating principles that will be converted into final commercial terms before checkout opens.

02

Completed registry transactions

Domain registrations, renewals, transfers, restorations, and similar registry transactions are generally committed to an upstream provider when submitted and may be non-refundable once completed. Checkout will identify the action and total before authorization.

Premium domains, registry fees, taxes, and restoration charges can differ from standard pricing and will be confirmed before an order is submitted.

03

Failed and partial orders

If Honk accepts payment but the corresponding registry action is not completed, Honk will reconcile the provider result before retrying or issuing an appropriate void or refund. We will not rely only on a browser error to decide whether a registry action succeeded.

For a cart containing multiple domains, each item is treated independently. A successful item remains valid even if another item fails; the failed item's amount will be handled separately.

04

Customer-requested changes

Registries generally cannot rename a domain after registration. Misspellings, unwanted renewals, or changed plans may therefore be non-refundable after completion, except where law or a provider rule requires otherwise. Review the domain, term, price, and contact details before confirming an order.

05

Requesting a review

Use the contact page with the order reference, domain, amount, and reason. Do not send full payment-card details. Honk will check the payment record, idempotency record, and upstream provider result before deciding the outcome.

Nothing in this policy limits refund, chargeback, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be limited in your location.
