Registrant rights and responsibilities
A plain-language map of control, information, renewal, transfer, privacy, accuracy, and dispute responsibilities.
Pre-launch notice
Paid domain registration is not yet available. This policy describes the current website and the operating rules Honk is preparing for launch. Commercial terms, legal-entity details, launch markets, and any jurisdiction-specific notices will be finalized before checkout opens.
Plain-language note
These pages are operational drafts, not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
Your rights
- Clear information about the provider, material prices, renewal, expiry, transfer, and complaint routes.
- Access to manage an eligible domain and request an eligible transfer using appropriate security checks.
- Reasonable notice of material policy changes and, where safe and lawful, restrictions placed on your service.
- Privacy information, access to applicable data rights, and respectful handling of support and abuse matters.
- A route to provide context and request review of a Honk policy action.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate registration and account information and keep it current.
- Protect account credentials, recovery methods, and transfer authorization data.
- Use domains lawfully and respond promptly to compromise, verification, abuse, and renewal notices.
- Pay disclosed charges and review the domain, term, premium status, and contact details before ordering.
- Follow applicable TLD, registry, upstream registrar, ICANN, and Honk policies.
Understanding the provider chain
Honk is the customer-facing reseller. WebNIC is the planned upstream registry-services provider, operating through the relevant accredited registrar and registry relationships. Different parties may control different actions, deadlines, and data requirements.
Questions and complaints
Start with the contact page for service complaints and the abuse page for suspected harmful domain use. Trademark and domain-ownership disputes follow the dispute routes described separately. Honk will publish escalation details before paid service launches.
