Renewal and expiry policy
What customers should expect as a registration approaches expiry, including notices, grace periods, redemption, and deletion.
Pre-launch notice
Paid domain registration is not yet available. This policy describes the current website and the operating rules Honk is preparing for launch. Commercial terms, legal-entity details, launch markets, and any jurisdiction-specific notices will be finalized before checkout opens.

Keeping a domain active
The registered-name holder is responsible for renewing before expiry and keeping contact and payment details current. Honk will provide renewal information and notices, but delivery can fail because of spam filtering, an outdated address, or provider issues.
Notices and auto-renew
The final launch policy will state the notice schedule, billing lead time, retry behavior, and how auto-renew can be enabled or disabled. Notices will be sent in line with applicable upstream and ICANN requirements.
After expiry
A domain may stop resolving, be placed on hold, enter an auto-renew grace period, enter redemption, or be deleted. The sequence and duration depend on the TLD and provider. Honk cannot guarantee recovery after expiry.
Redemption and restoration
Restoring an expired domain during redemption can involve a materially higher registry fee and additional processing. Any available restoration price will be shown before submission. Once deletion completes, the name may become available to others without notice.
Billing and ownership disputes
A payment dispute does not extend a registration term. If access or ownership is disputed, contact Honk early with safe identifying information. We may lock changes while evidence is reviewed where policy and provider authority allow.
